Board · Load · Storm · Arc · Setup | Last updated: 12 Oct 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Box Code (the "Application" or "Service") handles information when You use Our mobile app. We designed the Application to work primarily on Your Device, with a focus on one home panel: poles on the rail, branch loads, storm scenes, and a paper passport under the door. Where We rely on third-party SDKs (for example attribution analytics or push delivery), they process data as described below and under their own policies.
By using the Service, You agree to the practices described in this Policy. If You do not agree, please discontinue use of the Application.
Seating the rails. Box Code is a mobile panel door: You seat poles on the Board, weigh branches on Load, arm storm scenes and keep a Codex, trap the spark in Arc, and keep the desk in Setup. Panel name, site, owner, poles, rooms, appliances, scenarios, journal entries, optional hardware photos, and hangar settings are intended to stay on Your Device unless You choose to contact Us by email, share the passport, or save a rendered sheet to Photos. Where We rely on third-party SDKs, they process data as described below.
Application means Box Code, the software program provided by Us.
Company ("We", "Us" or "Our") refers to Box Code.
Country refers to: United Kingdom.
Device means any device that can access the Service (for example a smartphone or tablet).
Personal Data (or "Personal Information") means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service Provider means third parties that process data on Our behalf to facilitate the Service, analytics, attribution, notifications, or related technical functions.
Usage Data means data collected automatically when You use the Service (for example diagnostics, session length, or technical identifiers).
You means the individual using the Service, or the legal entity on whose behalf that individual uses the Service, as applicable.
Your panel name, site, owner name, seated poles and rooms, appliances and wattage, storm scenes, Codex entries, load samples, Arc bolts and shop unlocks, sound and haptics, vein colour, onboarding completion, and similar app data are stored locally on Your Device.
We do not require an account to use the Application. Unless otherwise stated in this Policy, this local panel is not transmitted to Our servers as part of normal use. The panel door is rendered on Your Device and does not leave the phone. We do not collect location data or microphone audio.
Photo Library (optional): If You attach a still of Your panel, a pole label, an appliance, or surge evidence from the library, the Application may request access to Your photo library. Photos are used only when You select an image. We do not upload Your photos to Our servers. We do not browse Your library beyond the still You pick.
Camera (optional): If You photograph the panel, a pole, an appliance, or surge evidence, the Application may request access to Your camera. Photos are captured only when You take a picture and are stored locally on Your Device.
Owner and panel plates: Setup may also store an owner plate and a panel photo locally so the passport shows the hardware You seated. Those files stay on Your Device.
Generated passport: "Render for share" draws a sheet of Your seated panel. That picture is rendered by the Application. It is not a photograph from Your camera.
Photos (optional, add only): You may share passport text or the rendered sheet, or choose "Keep in library" so a sheet is added to Photos. We do not read Your existing library for that save. A copy already in Photos stays there if You later reset the panel.
Purchases: Box Code does not offer in-app purchases, subscriptions, or other paid unlocks. There is no StoreKit checkout in the Application.
Notifications (optional): If You allow push messaging, the Application may request notification permission. Push messages may be delivered through Our messaging partner as described below.
Usage Data. Usage Data is collected automatically when You use the Service. It may include, for example, Your Device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, diagnostic data, and timestamps or engagement signals related to the Application.
Product configuration. The Application may make limited network requests needed to operate the Service (for example to retrieve configuration). Such requests may include technical identifiers such as Your application bundle identifier together with identifiers associated with Our attribution and measurement partners, solely as needed for those technical purposes.
We use third-party providers to understand how the Application is discovered and used, to measure campaign effectiveness, to improve stability, and to deliver notifications. Depending on Your settings and applicable law, these partners may process identifiers associated with Your Device or install.
The Application may open standard iOS surfaces such as the system camera, photo picker, share sheet, or Apple Photos (add only) when You choose those actions, and it may load this Policy in an in-app browser. Those surfaces are governed by Apple's policies.
We may use Personal Data to provide and maintain the Service, monitor usage, respond to Your requests, send service-related communications (including via push where You allow it), analyze and improve the Service, and support attribution and measurement as described above.
We may share information with Service Providers who process it on Our instructions and for the purposes described in this Policy, as well as where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with Your consent where applicable.
You can stop much of the Application's on-device data collection by uninstalling the Application using Your device or store standard uninstall process. Some data may already have been processed by partners according to their policies and retention practices.
We retain Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of agreements. Retention details for partner-processed data are governed in part by those partners' policies.
Your information may be processed in locations where We or Our partners operate, which may be outside Your jurisdiction. Where required by law, We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
You may reset the panel from Setup ("Reset the panel"), which lifts seated poles, rooms, loads, Codex entries, Arc shop progress, and local hardware photos from the rail on the Device subject to iOS behaviour, and reseeds an empty panel. Onboarding stays marked complete so the first seating is not forced again. Hidden field-guide hints may remain until You change them. Sound, volume, haptics, and vein colour return to the empty-panel defaults. Passport sheets You already saved to Photos stay in Your library. You may contact Us to request access, correction, or deletion of Personal Data You have provided, subject to legal retention requirements.
No electronic transmission or storage is completely secure; We strive to use commercially reasonable safeguards for Your Personal Data. Data stored on Your Device is also protected by Your device's operating system and any security features You enable (such as a passcode or biometric lock).
We may disclose Personal Data if required by law or in good faith where disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect Our rights or safety, investigate fraud, or respond to lawful requests by public authorities.
Our Service is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 16. If You believe a child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us and We will take steps to remove it where appropriate.
The Service or Our communications may contain links to third-party sites (for example partner privacy pages). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. Please review their privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy in the Application or on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires additional steps.
